While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.
Data Science is an integral component of Coinbase’s product and decision making process: we work in partnership with Product, Engineering and Design to influence the roadmap and better understand our users. With a deep expertise in experimentation, analytics and advanced modeling, we produce insights which directly move the company’s bottom line.
Customer support interactions at Coinbase are high stakes - when something goes wrong, a customer's assets are on the line. We want to prevent the bad experiences that lead to human support interaction. This role will focus on root-causing support contacts to identify what went wrong in the product, quantify how many users experienced the same friction without contacting support, and partner with product teams to fix underlying quality issues. You will build causal and AI models to measure the full spectrum of negative product experiences across the Coinbase product suite.
