Job Summary

Teaching Assistants (TAs) play a critical role in teaching ~25-30 learners (as part of a larger class) in Correlation One’s virtual Information Security training program. TAs will be expected to support synchronous sessions as well as provide asynchronous support to Fellows to ensure their comprehension and learning.

Program Specific Information

We are hiring Teaching Assistants for upcoming programs. The dates and times for are as follows:

• Key dates: 4/13/2026 - 10/9/2026
• Break (no lectures): Dates will be scattered throughout the program - final dates will confirmed once the schedule is finalized
• Lectures: M/W/F from 11 am - 1:30 pm ET 

Key Responsibilities

• Live Session Coverage: Provide live session coverage on a rotational basis. TAs will be placed in a trio of 3 TAs who will rotate, with each TA providing live coverage for approximately 19 sessions throughout the program.
• Lab Session Hours: Attend all live lab sessions. During these labs, 1-2 TAs will lead while all other TAs support. After the main lab, each TA will be put into a breakout room with their respective group of 30 learners for further lab exploration.
• Administrative Work: Dedicate 2 paid hours per week for administrative work. This includes one 30-minute weekly team meeting and 1.5 hours for asynchronous support, such as answering learner messages on Slack, grading, and other admin tasks.
• Learner Experience: Work with fellow TAs and Lead Instructors on ways to improve the learner experience and ensure the progress and satisfaction of your Fellows.

Who You Are

As a Cybersecurity Teaching Assistant, you are a passionate advocate for cybersecurity education, possessing a strong foundation in information security principles and practices. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, you thrive in supporting instructors and students alike in understanding complex security concepts. Your adeptness in navigating security tools and technologies enables you to provide valuable guidance and assistance, fostering a secure learning environment. Your dedication to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest cybersecurity trends positions you as a valuable asset in preparing students for success in the dynamic field of information security.

Your Expertise

• 1 year of experience in the Information Security field (or another related field) with a degree or strong credentials
• Degree in a technical field
• CompTIA Security+ certification or another related certification
• Previous learner support experience, preferably in a remote environment

Compensation

Compensation is provided for the following key activities:

• Live Session Coverage: A set rate for attending each 2.5-hour assigned lecture. TAs are required to attend only their assigned sessions.
• Lab Session Hours: A set rate for participation in each live lab session.
• Weekly Administrative Hours: A consistent 2 hours per week, paid at the hourly rate. This time covers the 30-minute team meeting with C1 staff, responding to messages on Slack and email, and other asynchronous support.
• Office Hours: Up to 6 hours per week, paid at the hourly rate.
