Senior Android Engineer II, Enterprise Picking
At Instacart, we invite the world to share love through food because we believe everyone should have access to the food they love and more time to enjoy it together. Where others see a simple need for grocery delivery, we see exciting complexity and endless opportunity to serve the varied needs of our community. We work to deliver an essential service that customers rely on to get their groceries and household goods, while also offering safe and flexible earnings opportunities to Instacart Personal Shoppers.
Instacart has become a lifeline for millions of people, and we’re building the team to help push our shopping cart forward. If you’re ready to do the best work of your life, come join our table.
There’s no one-size fits all approach to how we do our best work. Our employees have the flexibility to choose where they do their best work—whether it’s from home, an office, or your favorite coffee shop—while staying connected and building community through regular in-person events. Learn more about our flexible approach to where we work.
Instacart’s Fulfillment Services organization builds the products that help our retail partners grow e-commerce revenue. Within this org, the Enterprise Picking & Tools team powers the shift-based workforces that pick items, stage orders, and hand them off to customers or delivery partners. We’re investing in new picking flows, expanding into new markets, and scaling the platform that underpins our partners’ operational success. We’re looking for a Senior Android Engineer to architect and deliver fast, reliable, and delightful Android experiences that directly impact how retailers’ associates pick orders every day. You’ll own high-visibility features end to end, collaborate closely with backend, iOS, design, product, data, and retailer partners, and help raise the bar for code quality, performance, and user experience across our Android surfaces. You’ll join a tight-knit team of engineers operating in a fast-paced environment. If you thrive on tackling complex problems, balancing new feature work with retailer-driven requests and technical debt, and rolling up your sleeves to deliver impact, this role is for you.
