About this role
We are seeking a talented IT Systems Engineer to join our IT & Security team. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing our modern IT infrastructure, providing support for around 190 endpoints, and leading IT & security projects with a focus on operational efficiency and automation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cloud-based solutions, security best practices, and a willingness to explore AI automation tools.
Our current team of 2 is based in Helsinki, supporting a remote-first international organisation of 180 people across Europe and the USA. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across different time zones to build automation and improve operations. For candidates in Helsinki, this is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work from our city centre office and from home. For those based elsewhere, we’re open to a fully remote arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Provide IT support for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS endpoints across our global remote-first organisation
- Manage and maintain endpoint security solutions, ensuring devices remain compliant, patched, and protected
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring seamless transitions and compliance
- Administer and maintain identity & access management solutions, including SSO, MFA, and directory services
- Drive security initiatives and maintain compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, ISO 27701), ensuring robust protection of our data
- Manage our SaaS application portfolio, including licensing, security configurations, and integrations
- Lead and manage IT & Security projects, independently managing timelines and deliverables
- Communicate technical concepts and project progress to leadership, ensuring clear organisation-wide visibility
Requirements
- Proven expertise in supporting and managing Windows, macOS, Android and iOS endpoints in business environments
- Strong knowledge of SaaS solutions with hands-on experience in SaaS application management and security configurations
- Technical proficiency with tools like Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Freshservice, Omnissa Workspace One, and VMware Carbon Black EDR
- Understanding of modern authentication methods including SSO, passwordless authentication, biometric systems, and zero-trust principles
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell and Bash preferred)
- Basic knowledge of information security compliance maintenance (ISO 27001, ISO 27701 desired)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a collaborative team approach and proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects
Highly Desirable (Bonus Qualifications)
- AI & Automation enthusiasm: You are curious about AI-driven automation and eager to learn how to build intelligent workflows using tools such as N8N, Realm, Notion, Zapier, or similar platforms
- Vendor Management expertise: Experience in vendor risk evaluations and vendor lifecycle processes
- Certifications: Industry-standard certifications in cloud security, cybersecurity, or compliance
