Summary

The Legal Counsel provides comprehensive legal support across the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while mitigating risk. This role advises on employment law, commercial agreements, regulatory matters, and other legal issues to support the company’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts ranging from services agreements to employment contracts
• Assisting in ensuring global compliance with intellectual property transfer agreements and related mechanisms.
• Assisting in providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice on legal topics (e.g., fintech, labor laws, corporate matters, etc.).
• Assisting with the review and negotiation of client and vendor agreements, and supporting internal compliance efforts.

• Handling and assisting with a variety of other issues and projects as they arise.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least 2 years in-house or advising corporate clients.
• Qualified to practice in Brazil
• Strong knowledge of employment law, corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to balance legal risks with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Experience in a global or multi-jurisdictional environment is a plus.
• High ethical standards and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
