While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.
This role would be responsible for leading the day to day cadence of the team - defining strategic roadmaps, mastering daily operations, acting as the quarterback during high-severity incidents, and upholding the high talent bar that we expect at Coinbase. You will inspire the team to think outside the box, ideate around exciting new technologies and initiatives, and drive the team forward. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and partners to prioritize features and initiatives, and act as coach for your engineers as you build a high-performing team.
This is one of the most visible and business-critical engineering platforms at Coinbase. Joining the team means leading engineers who solve some of the hardest problems in distributed systems, scalability, and operational excellence—while directly shaping the foundation of the global crypto economy.
