Browser Extension Excellence owns the most frequently used surface of 1Password. We ensure the extension feels instantaneous, correct, and dependable — especially in moments where failure is visible and costly. Autofill, save, and launch flows are where “it just works” is proven or disproven dozens of times every day.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada or the US. This position will be for 4 months - May to August 2026.
What you can expect
- Write efficient, scalable, and robust customer-facing features in one or more of our web or Rust tech stacks.
- Collaborate with people across the company like Product Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Quality Assurance, and other Software Development teams.
- Focus on building and optimizing features in our extension as well as working with browser-specific APIs and behaviors (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
- Focusing on extension performance, stability, and correctness

We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in-person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, travel for in-person engagement is a part of most roles. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events.
