Data Engineer

At Koala Health, our mission is to make managing your pet’s health simple and enjoyable. We’ve built an innovative online pharmacy that delivers pet medications and supplements in presorted pouches, directly to customers’ doors. As we continue to scale, high-quality, reliable data is becoming increasingly critical to how we operate, measure success, and make decisions. The Data Engineer will take ownership of Koala Health’s data infrastructure: designing, building, and maintaining our data pipelines, models, and analytics foundation, and evolving it into a trusted, scalable platform used across the organization. Partnering closely with product, operations, growth, finance, and leadership, you will ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable, transforming our existing infrastructure into a reliable internal product that balances speed, quality, and long-term maintainability. For this role, we’re seeking a hands-on, highly competent, self-directed engineer who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building durable systems, and can operate independently without close day-to-day oversight. This is a remote position for individuals authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
